Storm Trooper gets a haircut

Mitch's head has a whole new look. He's got a helmet to help round out his head. He has adjusted really well to it. He doesn't seem to notice it at all. He gets to wear it 23 hours a day for a few months. He looks like a Storm Trooper. And he got his first haircut the other day. I originally wanted to wait until the bald spots had filled in, but it was getting too long! It's hard to believe that a 5 month old has already got his haircut.

5 months old, 18 lbs, and 26.75" long and so handsome!

We swaddled him for his haircut because I thought he would wiggle a bunch. But he didn't, I think he liked the buzzing sound of the clippers.
I'm 5 months old and learning to sit up all on my own!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas vacation has come to an end. Todd starts his last semester tomorrow. He doesn't have any classes, but he does need to write his thesis this semester- a task that will require a lot of research this semester. This Christmas break has been great. My whole family was in town and it was real fun to spend a lot of time with them. We played games, went sledding twice, watched the movie, "The Princess and the Frog," (so cute!), and ate way too much food. I'm so glad that I'm a nursing mother!

2009 was a wonderful year for us. It was definitely characterized by Mitchell. Whether it was preparing to have him or taking care of him once he arrived, he is what I think of when I think "2009." I'm sure he'll be at the top of the list for 2010 as well.

Sledding Day 1
I thought this was a cute picture of my neice.
Apparently I stick my tongue out when sledding!

Ohhh...cute! Uncle Todd and Klint helping the girlies back up the hill.

Right after hitting a jump and right before bonking my head real hard.
