busy busy busy

Whew! The last few weeks have been so busy! Todd went to Florida for a conference. Me and Mitch stayed with my parents. Then Todd's sister and her family were in town and it was a busy few days with them.
After that, Todd and I went to California to find housing in Merced. Success! We found a 1550 square foot apartment! (Come and visit!) That's about twice the size of where we are currently living. Finding a place with a dishwasher was top one priority, and not only does it have a dishwasher, it has washer and dryer hookups. It is only two bedrooms, which we would have ideally wanted three because SURPRISE, we are NOT pregnant. However, we still would have wanted three. Mitch stayed behind in Utah with Grandma and Grandpa A. I hear reports that he was an angel the whole time. I find that a little bit hard to believe. :)
We drove through Yosemite on the way home and picked up our annual pass. Yosemite was beautiful, but it was a big mistake driving that way home. After Yosemite was nothing but utter desolation. You think you've seen some barren wasteland if you've driven through eastern Oregon, Idaho, or even eastern Utah...nothing compares to driving through the barren desert of Area 51 in Nevada.
After our trip to California we went to a family reunion in Park City for a couple of days. We had a great time visiting with family and hanging out in the pool. Mitch loves the water. Todd and I, again so easily left Mitch behind on Monday morning to come back to Provo and run the 10K Freedom Run. It was AWESOME. All we wanted to do was run the whole time and we did. We both were in the top 100 of our age group, which is pretty impressive when there were more than 4000 runners.
Hopefully now we can relax for a bit until we start moving in a month!
