August

August was a smashing month for us- we started it off with an Anniversary celebration at Bear Lake. Todd and I had a total blast jet skiing, kayaking, shopping the booths, and enjoying the famous raspberry shakes. Later in the month we celebrated Mitchell's 4th birthday.  I love this age where he gets so excited about birthday's and holiday's. It's way too cute.  We ended the month in Merced visiting friends for the long weekend.  We had a wonderful time and it was awesome to see so many close friends again! Mitchell was in heaven seeing all his old friends again as well.

Whoops, this pic belongs in the July post.
Mitchell enjoyed two sessions of swimming lessons this year.
Mitchell is very confident in the water which makes me very happy!
However, the pool is zero-entry which means he could walk whenever he wanted to, meaning he didn't have to put his skills to the test all the time.  Next year, I may put him at a pool that is not zero-entry.
Mitchell was more than happy about his made-from-a-box cupcakes for his 4th birthday!
Coincidentally, Jon's family was in town for Mitchell's birthday which he absolutely loved!
We had a great time at a waterpark celebrating Mitchell's birthday!
Kenna's family was able to join us and party at the waterpark!
This kid continues to love to dress-up.  He got a knight costume for his birthday and I absolutely love helping him put it on several. times. a. day.
One of few complaints about our new place in Utah is there are very few parks with swings. This kid loves swinging!
My boys. Love them!
Loving playing with friends in California. You better believe I will use this picture in the future if this boy don't mind his mama!

Having a great day at the Lake Yosemite with friends in California!

July

We had a nice rest of the summer. It was pretty low-key, but it's been a lot of fun spending time and growing together as a family.
We spent the 4th of July in Idaho with Todd's parents and his sibling's, Patti Jo and Warren, along with their families. The kids had a great time playing together.
This crazy mom let Mitchell take a ride in a small airplane that Todd's Uncle Larry built.
These two, even though they aren't very close in age, already have a great time with each other.  Love that. Hope it continues!
Mitchell and his cousins.  He LOVES playing with cousins. It was a lot of fun to get together often with Kenna and the girls over the summer and give the kids a chance to play.
A little father-son backyard campout, complete with roasted marshmallows of course.
One of the only pics from my 30th birthday- we went on a hike, and later, Todd and I went to dinner at Tucano's with some dear friends, the Taylor's.
