Is life better than being 4?

One thing I really admire about Mitchell is his happy-go-lucky attitude.  He is one happy kid.  Not much gets him down, and if he has a set-back he bounces back within seconds. Every day he plays in his own, imaginary world, really only wondering what fun thing is going to happen next.  I hate to bring him back to reality at times, but mostly I'm energized by his endless fuel supply, and love to create moments for him to enjoy, because he ENJOYS to the fullest. Hopefully as he grows older he can carry his contagious positive attitude with him.
The following are just a few captured moments of enjoying life with a 4 year old.

September

Oh geez...seems like my blog is all about catching up!  Ce la vie. Probably the most "of note" thing that happened in September was that Todd was able to go to California at the end of the month to hike Mt. Whitney with some friends from California.  It was a quick trip for him, he left on Thursday, hiked Friday, came back Saturday! He had a great time and he said he'd do it again, which is very impressive to me. After I hiked Mt. Timp which is about half the distance of Mt. Whitney, I said I wouldn't do it again...any time soon. He said that the air is so thin close to the top that his heart was racing, and they had to take breaks quite often just to get their breath back and be able to hike a little bit more before needing to stop again.  He has a great time with his friends, but we were happy to have him back home! Life's just better when we're all around!
Mitchell also started preschool and has been very happy with attending.  Although it's no Joyschool, I've been happy with the teacher and the things Mitch has been learning. He's always happy to attend, and happy to come back home. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Dress like a pirate day and get a dozen doughnuts at Krispy Kreme! Hooray!!

The following pics got shuffled to the September folder, so I forgot to include them in our California trip pics from the last post.  Anyways, we made a quick trip to the beach at Capitola on our way to my Aunt's house in the Bay Area.
Mitchell still LOVES the ocean!!
Weird that this pic was in the Sept. folder since this was still August...didn't mean to leave you out Lori! Anyways, we had a fun time staying a night at Lori and Nate's house.  We crashed before they left on their own Labor Day adventure. The kids, Reese and Mitch, had a great time playing.  Mitchell talks about Reese all the time still and always wants to go to her house.  Breaks my heart! It's hard to not be a part of so many wonderful people's lives anymore.
