Just hanging out!

Mitchell practicing his picture-taking skills!

I asked Mitchell to clean up his room, and his interpretation
involved taking all his toys out of his buckets and placing them on his bed.

We went to Idaho a few weeks back to visit Todd's parents.  We enjoyed the time as a family and being able to spend a lot of time cleaning up the yard.  Mitchell was right there with us the whole day- he loved "helping" in the yard.

How he's grown!

Well, it's true what they say, you don't take as many pictures of your kids after your first.  Poor Luke.  He's so adorable, but I just don't capture his cuddly cuteness as often as I should! It doesn't help that he stops smiling the minute the camera gets up in his face!

Luke is bigger than Mitchell was as a baby, and Mitchell was a big baby! At Luke's 2-month appointment, he was 18.5 lbs! However, now that he's a bit over 4 months, he's slowed down a lot.  I think he's just over 20 lbs now. Luke is a very good baby.  The first couple months with him were a bit rough, but I suppose that's to be expected. I'm grateful he's stopped "grunting" at 5am each morning.  Seriously, for the first couple months of his life, he woke up each morning at 5am and grunted til about 6am. The only thing that made him happy and go back to sleep was sticking him in the swing or upright in the corner of the couch. I'm so grateful he's learned to figure things out, because the grunting was rough for him and his parents!

He's been sleeping through the night for at least 6 weeks now, with the exception of being stuffed up here and there, which has interrupted all of our sleep. The only time he cries is when he's hungry, tired, or needs a diaper change. He still spends the majority of the day sleeping.  He eats well, is up for an hour or so, and is ready for a nap after that. He's not rolling over quite yet, which is fine with me for now.
